Clearing is open

Clearing is your chance to find a university place if you don't have one yet.

Whether you're applying for the first time, changing your mind, or your results weren't what you expected, we're here to help you take the next step.

What is Clearing?

Clearing is part of the UCAS application process.

It helps universities fill places on courses that still have availability, and helps you find the course that's right for you.

You can use Clearing if:

  • you haven't applied to university yet
  • you didn't receive any offers
  • you've declined all your offers
  • you've changed your mind about where or what you want to study
  • you didn’t meet the conditions of your offers

The Clearing process

Once you have your results, you can apply for Leeds Trinity University through Clearing in four easy steps:

  1. Check you're eligible

    Find out if you're eligible for Clearing on your UCAS Hub. If you haven't already registered with UCAS, you'll need to do this first.

  2. Browse our courses

    Take a look through our available undergraduate courses and make a note of the ones you're interested in.

  3. Call our Clearing hotline

    Call us on 0330 058 4266 with your UCAS ID, courses of interest and results to hand. If your results meet our requirements, you'll receive a verbal offer.

  4. Add Leeds Trinity as your Clearing choice

    Once you have received your verbal offer, the next step is to add us as your Clearing choice in your UCAS Hub. You'll then be able to see the live status of your application. If we have places available, we'll confirm your place. 

 

When your place is confirmed (congratulations!) we'll be in touch with everything you need to do next.

Your questions answered

Can I get accommodation through Clearing?

Yes.

Once your place is confirmed, you'll be invited to book your student accommodation.

If you apply before 31 August, we guarantee you a place in our en-suite halls.

Take a look at our accommodation options.

What about student finance?

If you've already applied, just update your course and university details.

If you haven't applied yet, you can still do so through Student Finance England.

Don't wait for a confirmed place - you can apply now.

Can I apply as a mature student?

Absolutely.

If you're returning to education after a break or applying with work experience or alternative qualifications, you're not alone.

We value your experience and are here to support you every step of the way.

I've changed my mind - can I apply to a different course?

Yes.

If you've changed your plans and want to switch courses or universities, you can use Clearing to do that.

Just make sure you've declined any existing offers in UCAS first.

Can I apply through Clearing as an International student?

At the moment, we're only accepting applications from students who already have the right to study in the UK.
